Weekly Activities

Lister Steps at The Old Library hosts a number of regular activities during the week Monday- Friday. We try to provide free activities or keep them as low cost as possible so everybody from our community can get involved. If you see any activities you might want to get involved with and want some more information, please email hello@tol.org.uk or call our reception on 0151 2541394.

 

Monday

10-12pm Knit and Natter

Our lovely Craft and Cuppa group is perfect to join if you have a craft project you are working on, whether this is sewing, knitting or needlework. Grab a cuppa and have a chat with others who come along!

1-3pm Art for All

Come along and join our resident art group run by the fantastic Lister Drive artists. Each session is just £2 and his includes teas and coffees. To join in just bring along your art supplies and work on whatever has you feeling inspired during the session.

4.30-5.30pm Kids Yoga

Children's yoga sessions with Be You Yoga. To book onto this please contact x.be.you.yoga.x on instagram!

 

 

Tuesday

10-11pm Yoga for All

Our yoga class is for both beginners and people wanting to add another session to their routine. It is run by Amanda (rejuvenatecic@gmail.com) which is free to join or a small donation is appreciated. Just bring along your yoga mat, a pillow and a bottle of water and get ready to unwind.

1-3pm Beginners Sewing Class

Ever wanted to learn how to sew, or develop your existing skills? Our beginners sewing class is the perfect place to do so in a friendly and welcoming environment. Each week there will be a different focus so it is a great chance to learn a variety of skills and our fantastic teacher can adjust what you are doing to your ability. Please email community@tol.org.uk to book.

1.30-3pm Family History Research Group

If you have ever wanted to learn more about your ancestors or maybe where you live this class is a great place to start your journey. It is also a great way to carry on and share any information you may have already discovered with a group of fantastic, likeminded people. You will need to bring along your own laptop and be able to use it for researching online resources and also know how to use Microsoft word. Please email community@tol.org.uk if you are interested in coming along so we can make sure we bring materials for beginners!

3.30-4.30pm Creative Writing

A new writers group created especially to encourage new up and coming writers, writers who have yet to be published and to encourage us all to be creative through writing! Sessions will be held in The Tower Room at The Old Library on Tuesdays at 3.30pm at £2 . The group will be supported by a small group of writers who have had stories published already and there will be occasional motivational speakers.

 

 

Wednesday

10-11am Parent and Baby Class

Designed for pre-walking babies from around 6/8 weeks up, and contain a 'little bit of everything' to support your babies natural development. The sessions include: baby yoga, massage, music, sensory play and more! Sessions cost £3. To book please visit: https://bookwhen.com/strengtheningwellbeingtogether

11.30-12.30pm Coffee Morning

We are providing a free drink and chat for anybody who needs it. Come along and make new friends or just for a break from whatever you are getting up to!

5-6pm Latin and Ballroom Dance Class for Adults

A new dance class for adults provided by BC Dance Sports! Classes are £6 each or £30 for 6 sessions and you can pay in cash or bank transfer. No need to book!

 

 

Thursday

10-12pm StoryBox for Under 3's

Story Box is a free interactive reading group for Children under 3yrs old during term time but up to 11yrs old during the school holidays. This session is run externally by Creative Spaces Co and needs to be booked in advance for each session. To secure a place for you and your child or children please email www.wemakecreativespaces.org.uk
