Cafe Closed 27 March for One Day Only

Due to staff training, the Cafe will be closed on Friday, 27th March. Sorry for any inconvenience and thank you to all our lovely customers for your understanding. The Cafe will be fully operational again on Monday, 30th March so call in and enjoy your favourite sausage sandwiches/cheese on toast etc.

Saturday 5th October 12-1pm

The session will involve the history of our beautiful building and organisation, free snacks and drinks as well as mini Café and Admin training sessions.

Lister Steps at The Old Library is taking part in Heritage Open Days latest project – New Wave, which helps to engage young people in heritage projects such as ourselves. This year a group of young people have been working together to design and deliver this year’s Heritage Open Day which will take place on the 15th September. The event will be called Liverpool Lives and will focus on how heritage is created by the people, not just the place. As part of the event, we are looking for people to share their stories about The Old Library and Old Swan and have their photo displayed on the evening with their story. These photographs and stories may also be used for Heritage Open Days in the future.

Date: 15th September

Time: Doors Open: 7pm, Start: 7.30pm

Meet our new Community Engagement Manager!

In June we welcomed our new Community Engagement Manager Holly. Holly has joined us with experience in Community Outreach work and a Social Policy and Crime degree from the University of Leeds. She is excited to continue her fabulous work at The Old Library so please feel free to stop her for a chat next time you visit!
